HAIR:

When I was in a wedding party, we all chose different hairstyles. I found this one (look at link below) was the most flattering and classic. if you are trying to do this at home follow directions below. Even though it is all up I think you will like it. I will also include another pic and directions to a hairstyle that you might like more.

-1- Put hair up in a very high ponytail.

-2- If your have bangs do this step. Sweep your bangs/sidebangs to one side and pull so that it is long enough to bobby pin to the side of your head.

-3- To get the curl look, do either one of these steps...

-Take a large barrel curling iron and curl the end of each 1 in, section of hair, it wont be as close and perfectly placed but you will still achieve a beautiful look along the same lines of the picture. Repeat until whole head is done.

- Take each 1in piece of hair and curl it around your finger. Slip your finger out gently so that you are still holding down the little curl with the other hand. Secure the curl down with a bobby pin. Repeat until whole head is done.

-4- Hairspray whole head and keep a mini bottle with you at the party and a couple extra bobby pins too.

-1- Take a large barrel curling iron and divide your hair into 2in sections and curl all of your hair.

-2- If you have bangs, follow step #2 above.

-3- Take a pretty bobbypin with a flower ect, on it (I will include links below) and take 1in section of the front of your hair and sweep back, secure with a bobby pin, do about 5 of these ';sweeps';.

-4- Hairspray everything, keep extra hairspray and bobbypins on you throughout the night.

MAKEUP: There are 2 options for makeup, especially eyeshadows, either match the color of your dress to a contrasting color for eyeshadow, or go with a color that matches your eye. I will give directions for both.

BTW, with dark green eyes, gold eyeshadow goes very well.

Style 1: Color of Dress w/ Eyeshadow

Look at your dress very carefully, if it is all one color you may want to use a contrasting color for your eyeshadow instead of the same color. If your dress is, for example, blue with gold flowers, then pick a gold eyeshadow and use that.

-1- Take your foundation, apply all over to make a clean slate for all make up.

-2- If you have any pimples or zits that will make you self conscious that night, use concealer to cover them. Then over the concealer put a little bit of pressed powder.

-3- Take a blush or bronzer (or both!) and smile. This will help you find the apples of your cheeks (the chubby part by your eye). If you are using blush put blush all over, then extra on the apple of your cheeks. If you are using bronzer, do the same step only with bronzer. If you are using both, put the bronzer all over your face and the blush on the apples of your cheeks.

-4- For mascara, if you want longer thicker lashes, then use a purple mascara. If not then use your usual one. My favorite brand is CG lash blast. Apply to both top and bottom lashes.

-5- Take the white eyshadow and apply to your tearduct (the inside corner of your eye, near the nose). This will help you to look more awake.

-6- Use the same white or VERY light gold eyeshadow and apply it to the bottom of your brow line from the inside side, halfway to the end. This will help to draw the attention to your eyes.

-7- Take the eyeshadow color of your choice and apply all the way to the crease of your eye.

-8- If you have small eyes, only apply eyeliner to your top lashline. If you have larger eyes, feel free to apple to both top and bottom. So, next apply the eyeliner, my favorite brand is JADE H2O PROOF, CHARCOAL BLACK.

-9- Finish off with a sheer pink or bubble gum pink lipgloss.

Style 2:

Do steps 1-6.

-7- Use a gold eyeshadow instead and apply to the crease of your eye.

Do steps 8-9

I Really Hope I Helped!! Have Fun!!Makeup and hair ideas for my sweet 16?
maybe you should put extensions on to make it longer and so it looks fuller, that way you can do some beach waves and do like half up do.. do makeup that is more natural and ask the person that is doing your makeup to make you eye color stand out... hope that you find what you need, and have lots of fun... (play with your hair and makeup before your sweet 16 that way you will get ideas)
A light color on the eyes, or could be a smokey eye. What color is your outfit? Black mascara. Hmm.... You could do a braided tiara hair. That's half up half down. I really hope I helped! Sorry if i didn't.
